At Homeroom, protecting your family's information is our top priority. We know school schedules, documents and reminders are personal, so we've built Homeroom with security at the centre of everything.
Everything you upload — from school emails to notes — is encrypted both in transit (while moving between your device and our servers) and at rest (while stored securely in our database). This means your data is protected even if intercepted or accessed without permission.
You decide what you upload, what you delete, who you share your schedule with, and when your account is removed. When you delete your account, your entire data is permanently erased from our systems within 14 days.
Your school emails, uploaded notes and schedules are processed automatically. No human at Homeroom ever views your content unless you explicitly request support. Your privacy is respected at all times.
Homeroom uses industry-leading providers trusted by thousands of businesses: Supabase (encrypted database + authentication, SOC2 compliant), Vercel (secure hosting), Postmark (safe email processing), and OpenAI API (secure, non-training AI processing).
When you use 'Ask Homeroom', your prompt is sent securely to the OpenAI API, used only to answer your question, and is not stored, reused, or used to train AI models. Your private information stays private.
We never sell your data, share your data with advertisers, or provide your data to schools or third-party marketers. Your information belongs to you — not us.
Children do not create accounts or use Homeroom. Parents choose what information to upload and can remove it at any time. We follow strict Australian privacy expectations for family-related information.
